School climate assemblies are conceived as innovative democratic processes to learn, deliberate, make informed decisions and seek solutions to address climate change and promote local and regional sustainability, promoting the active participation of young people and their communities.

The Methodological Guide for the creation and implementation of school climate assemblies aims to facilitate the organisation of assemblies in schools. It includes the main elements and characteristics of a school climate assembly, and the key steps, phases and participatory tools and techniques for its development.

Within the framework of the EDUCLIM project, school climate assemblies have been organised in 16 schools in two municipalities in the province of Tarragona, in which 1,065 students and 84 teachers have directly participated.

From the actions proposed and prioritised during the assemblies by educational communities and as a result of the process two final reports – Action Plans including policy recommendations have been elaborated to promote sustainability at a local and regional level in the cities of Reus and Cambrils.
